Glengoyne Distillery, Scotland

A Scottish institution since 1833

The Project

Glengoyne Distillery has been a Scottish institution since 1833. Glengoyne producing single malt whiskey continuously since its founding. Located in the highlands of Scotland, it is often referred to as the "most beautiful distillery in Scotland". Leach worked alongside Contagious Design to give the Distillery’s signage and wayfinding a refresh.

Leach delivered both the graphics package and wayfinding package, enabling a seamless integration of visual identity across the distillery. The sampling process was important for this project as we were working with substrates and processes to create a completely bespoke solution. The production team ensured that they were confident with the quality of the process before they allowed it to proceed.

The Solution

We used a variety of processes through the job from screen printing to etching Corian totems.  The graphics ranged from large to small format, but no matter the size the precision remained consistent throughout. The large format roundels were difficult to handle due to the sheer size of them and our print team rallied together to execute the mammoth task of printing them. Communication was key throughout production, and everyone stepped up to the plate to ensure the project ran smoothly through all departments.

Our installation team ensured every aspect of the install was done to the highest quality. The team’s drive for quality and eye for detail reflects in the professional finish of this project. The results of the products in situ speak for themselves and we think it looks really neat.
