Leach champions British canoeing’s partner delivery event & green award winners
Since 2018, we have worked closely with British Canoeing, the official organisation of paddle sports for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. And as the approved print supplier for the member organisation’s yearly ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup, our team have enjoyed supporting British Canoeing as it has successfully spearheaded the rise of domestic paddle sports.
In exciting news, our partnership is set to strengthen in 2024 as we have been announced as a principal sponsor of British Canoeing’s Delivery Partner Conference launching at the end of January, and its corresponding Delivery Partner Awards.
With a vision to “inspire people to pursue a passion for paddling; for health, enjoyment, friendship, challenge and achievement”, British Canoeing are the official organisation of paddle sports in the UK, including canoeing, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. It tirelessly seeks to raise the profile of these exhilarating water-based pursuits, promote their uptake and represent their interests at a UK level. British Canoeing is also home to the largest UK paddling community, supports thousands of member clubs, sets the framework for the coaching of paddlesports and oversees a number of competitions, championships and events.
One such event is the annual ICF Canoe Slalom World Cup. Taking place in London, it attracts dedicated athletes from across the world, as well as thousands of passionate spectators wanting a piece of the water-side action. Each year, we dress the venue, creating and installing everything from wayfinding signs, to banners, podium backdrops, totems and even water block toppers. We also create high-quality bespoke plaques for British Canoeing’s Delivery Partner awards each year.
With over 500 businesses in British Canoeing’s partner scheme, the organisation has chosen to host its 3rd annual virtual conference on the 25th January 2024. The event serves as a platform for partners and members to network and collaborate, as well as being a gateway to the paddle sports industry’s most knowledgeable and progressive thinkers across a back-to-back schedule of presentations and focus groups. To support the event further, we’re offering all British Canoeing partners 10% off any print project during 2024 when they quote “Delivery Partner”.
Alongside the event, we’re also sponsoring the Delivery Partner Awards, choosing to pin our colours to the eco-focused category. The “Committed to the Environment” award celebrates individuals or a Delivery Partner who has made a clear positive impact on environmental issues. The judges are looking to champion businesses that have campaigned locally for eco-friendly initiatives, negotiated better environmental access for paddlers or have gone above and beyond to protect and preserve or enhance the environment.
Our team felt that this award aligned perfectly with our own endeavours and aims to protect the planet. We are committed to providing recyclable, planet-friendly print materials and non-toxic inks. Our eco-screen lightbox fabric is formulated from 100% recycled yarn and two recycled plastic bottles for every 1m sq of material, whilst our lightboxes use energy-efficient LEDs and are eligible for our return-to-base recycling scheme.
