Creating award-winning exhibition stands for over a decade
For the last decade, we have collaborated with The Design Wing, a creative design agency, on multiple projects for brands exhibiting in the UK.
Over 2024, The Design Wing required our expertise in exhibition graphics and displays for four leading brands, including Beko, 3M, Arco and Midea. At this time, we developed a variety of hanging banners, lightboxes and graphics to help achieve their client’s stand requirements.
We worked alongside The Design Wing to bring Beko’s ‘EnergySpin’ washing machine to life at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). The stand’s centrepiece was an interactive display: a life-sized washing machine powered by visitors competing in cycling races.
We fabricated a series of 9mm and 18mm MDF panels, wrapped in vinyl to reproduce the washing machine’s interface. The Design Wing enhanced the display with halo illuminations, producing a striking glow that intensified with the cyclists’ efforts. To boost competition, we created a magnetic leaderboard with dry-wipe name tags for racers to track scores.
We also produced an oversized hanging canopy (tension frame) with interchangeable fabric graphics that helped draw attention from across the venue. Other visual elements included fret cut lettering of Beko’s logo and fabric/vinyl wall wraps.
3M, a multinational technology company, took the stage at Screwfix Live with a bold exhibition stand promoting their portfolio of ScotchTM Tape products. To achieve such a bold presence, we helped The Design Wing create a collection of branded exhibition graphics.
Our team developed 100% recyclable 16mm SWEDBOARD® wall panels with printed graphics displaying 3M’s messaging around sustainability. Other elements included 18mm printed stars and vinyl/Foamex cut lettering for the Scotch Tape product displays.
The Design Wing’s stand design focused on highlighting 3M’s sustainability message in a bold and engaging way. To support this, we produced a large circular hanging banner with eco screen graphics to minimise their carbon footprint. The tension frame’s durable design allows 3M to reuse it for future events, further reducing waste.
Arco, the renowned safety experts, wanted to make a presence at the Health & Safety Event at the NEC in April 2024. The Design Wing, entrusted with the task of creating the exhibition stand, required our help to showcase Arco’s comprehensive services.
The Design Wing created a unique angled wall design for Arco, which we then applied 5mm Foamex lettering, printed vinyl and laser-cut acrylic. Our team also applied vibrant vinyl graphics to lightboxes to enhance the stand’s visual impact and branding opportunities.
Midea, the electrical appliance manufacturer, required an exhibition stand that would draw attention from every angle. The Design Wing wanted Midea to stand out, so we developed two large hanging tension frames (VF90) with bespoke fabricated corners.
We angled these frames in different directions to create a dynamic contrast between Midea’s white and blue brand colours. For other branded elements, we made 5mm Foamex letters cut into Midea’s logo which were mounted on either side of the hanging banner. Smaller Foamex lettering was fixed across other areas of the stand to enhance their brand presence.
This collaborative effort, including our hanging banners and The Design Wing’s overall stand design, resulted in a ‘Best Stand 2024’ award at the event.
