Lyle & Scott

A highly satisfied customer at another London flagship store

The Brief

In 2013, Lyle and Scott, the well-known Scottish outfitter famous for supplying the world’s top golfers, split its offering into three distinct collections: Classic, Contemporary and Golf.

This was the cue to update the Carnaby Street flagship store with high impact use of the new style photography which characterised the three new collections. Lyle and Scott’s marketing team wanted to use fabric lightboxes in the windows, but having no previous experience of this type of system, they called on Leach to recommend the best solution.

Leach’s Role Included:

  • Bespoke double sided LED lightboxes
  • Rear-illuminated tension fabric graphics
  • Non-illuminated tension fabric graphics
  • 3D design
  • Installation

Our Solution

As the Carnaby Street windows look straight into the store, without being backed out by a wall, there was a great opportunity to use a double-sided fabric system which could be viewed from both outside and inside. However, the client’s preference was for the outward facing image to be rear-illuminated but for the image viewed from within the store to be more subdued and hence non-illuminated. Cue our 3D design team, who adapted our range of frame profiles so that this very bespoke requirement could be achieved, and all without adding significant extra cost to the project.

As usual, our installation team weaved their magic overnight and so there was no disruption to store trading.

“Thank you so much for the lightboxes and graphics for Carnaby Street, all were made to perfection and the quality of the print was amazing too!”
