King John's Castle
We produced over 700 graphics throughout the six galleries and stunning castle grounds
Located on King’s Island in Limerick, Ireland, King’s John’s Castle originated in the 13th century.
At the historic site, visitors can discover the history of Limerick and the castle through a brand new visitor experience that brings together the castle’s remarkable archaeology and 21st century technology.
The Castle itself has six ‘zones’ within the attraction and Leach produced and installed over 700 display graphics, banners and signage throughout, to enhance the visitor experience.
As part of the project Leach provided:
Leach’s skilled and experienced in-house team produced and installed a wide variety of eye-catching graphics, including our exterior Vault signage product. This robust, vandal-proof and unique signage system, ensured that the graphics were able to withstand all weathers and importantly maintain high quality visuals.
At the top of the castle, outdoor rail fixed graphics were specified to display the history of the castle, whilst taking in breath-taking views.
Creativity was at the heart of the project, including interactive graphics and a double sided
Vault totem system with interchangeable panels – giving the customer flexibility in the graphics they wished to display.
In addition, King John’s Castle utilised Leach’s bespoke solutions – an IP 65 rated lightbox, providing an eye-catching and visually impactful LED display. Importantly, the lightboxes had waterproof electronics – a hurdle which our project team were able to master.
The variety and creativity in the project didn’t end there and our in-house design and manufacturing team created bespoke way-finding finger posts with 3D carvings and in-fill text graphics.
Across the project Leach utilised its wide range of products, solutions and capabilities to meet the customer’s needs and importantly create a visitor experience to remember.
