After weeks of anticipation, Leach has discovered that the team has been shortlisted for International Business of the Year at the Examiner Business Awards (EBAs).
The news comes hot on the heels of us celebrating our 125th anniversary! But with a number of other firms also in the running for the global EBA accolade, there’ll now be a tense wait until we learn if we’ve scooped the top prize.
The judges have already dissected a detailed written submission, which described our key achievements from the past 12 months, what makes us stand out against our competitors, the company’s recent financial progress, jobs creation and plans for the future.
Camera crews are also due in to film at our 30,000 sqft headquarters in mid-October, where they’ll capture footage of the team at work, watch some of our innovative display products come to life and interview members of our senior management team.
The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on Thursday 3 November, when some of the biggest regional business names gather at the John Smith stadium to celebrate the level of talent and innovation within the area.
Commenting on the news, managing director Richard Leach said: “We’ve experienced some fantastic achievements over the decades but, because we’re such a customer centric business, we’ve been more focused on delivering client results than shouting about our own.
“However with recent additions to our senior management and marketing teams we’re now well equipped to tell our story and ensure more people hear about the Leach brand. This won’t just aid our continued organic growth – it will give a pat on the back to the people throughout our business, who have helped us nurture the reputation we have today. To have been shortlisted in such a milestone year is indeed a credit to them and we look forward to enjoying the ceremony together, whatever the outcome.”
