Investment longevity is something most businesses have come to demand across virtually every industry – and rightly so.
Varying economic pressures mean organisations need to achieve more ‘bang for their buck’, from every product or service that they buy.
But is it possible to expect something to last for 10 years?
Perhaps. What about when that asset is subject to often extreme weather conditions? Or vandalism? Surely that limits the longevity?

Not if the product is engineered to be robust, by design.
Those familiar with the Leach Inspire brand may already have heard of Vault. Custom-made to suit clients’ bespoke requirements and with an array of fitting options, the product is cost-effective and compliant with accessibility standards. Because it is manufactured with no harmful VOCs, PVC or solvent-based print methods, it is also eco-friendly.
Above all, it’s a visually striking external signage option too. We’ve worked hard to bring stunning photographic quality to the market, and as a result, Vault has been chosen by a number of tourism and heritage sites throughout the UK and beyond.
But when we first started working in this market over 60 years ago, we soon realised that the products don’t just have to look the part at the time of install. After all, they have to inspire, inform, engage and educate visitors for years to come.
So, our innovation team has worked hard to devise incredibly durable external signage that really can withstand not just Mother Nature’s elements, but vandalism too!

How have we done it?
Well, we can’t give away all our secrets, but much of our industry-leading position has, largely been made possible, thanks to our innovative nature – most recently our investment in a new print system which produces an even stronger bond between the ink and substrate. The result is greater print adhesion to the base layer of the sign, and therefore heightened overall performance.
But it doesn’t end there. From the stainless steel components that remain rust and corrosion free, to the heavy duty external-grade timber that we craft our signs from, we’ve thought about everything with a ‘10 year quality control’ hat on.
We carefully season the materials prior to any carpentry works, to prevent warping, for instance. We choose the strongest of bolts to secure the signage. And we conduct all joinery – down to the final lacquering – ourselves.
So, the finished external signage really is ready for anything the sun, wind, rain – and unwanted visitors – may throw at it! That’s one less thing for heritage site managers to worry about, during the upkeep of their attraction.
